I will work out individual kit pricing very soon. Check back in a few days. The individual kits have a much better availability than the full system.
I am also willing to sell all the parts except the case for those who wish to make their own enclosure! MITS had a plan where over 8 months!!! you would own an Altair. I'm typing this from page 25 of the July 1975 Popular Electronics magazine: Month One - Assembly, Operator, and Therory of Operation manuals Month Two - Power supply Month Three - Expander Card Month Four - Case with Hardware Month Five - 1k static memory board with 256b of memory Month Six - CPU board with all components except processor chip Month Seven - Control Board with all components Month Eight - Processor chip The price was $68.75 per month (Altair kit for $439, Memory for $103, and $8 for shipping made $550 total).
